Day 1 Arrival
Arrival in Accra, Ghana. We will pick you up from the airport to take you to your hotel. Overnight in Accra.

Day 2 Transfer to Ada
Transfer to Ada. On our way we shall bird at Sakumono Lagoon before arriving in our hotel. After check-in you take a trip to Xavi for more birdwatching. Overnight in Ada Foa.

Day 3 To Akosombo
Take a trip to Shai Hills Resource Reserve early in the morning. After the morning birdwatching you will  take a short trip to Akosombo Dam where you will have a short sight-seeing tour of the dam. Overnight at Akosombo.

Day 4 Atewa
This morning we take a trip to Atewa, making stops at several interesting places for birdwatching. Later in the afternoon, after lunch and check-in, we will go birding at Atewa Forest. Overnight at Atewa.

Day 5 Bobiri
Birding at Apapam, north of the Atewa plains before departing for Bobiri. Upon arrival we will check-in and have some rest and go birding later in the evening. Overnight in the middle of the Forest at Bobiri Forestry Resthouse.

Day 6 To Kumasi
Birdwatching at Bobiri in the morning and transfer to Kumasi, where we visit a few attractions on a short city tour. Overnight at Kumasi.

Day 7 To the Central Region
Early morning visit to Owabi Sanctuary where we will try to spot the African finfoot, the shining blue kingfisher, the giant kingfisher and a host of other lovely birds. From there we head to the Central Region. On our way we will divert at New Edubiasi and drive to the village of Bonkro to try and spot Ghana's number one bird, the pichatertes or the white necked rock fowl, before arriving at Assin Foso in the evening. Overnight at Assin Foso.

Day 8 Kakum National Park
This morning you shall visit Aboabo camp in the northern part of Kakum National Park for another special encounter with birds. After your morning birding you will move on to Cape Coast and check into your hotel. Later on the day you pay another short visit to Kakum National Park. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 9 Cape Coast & Kakum
Birdwatching at Kakum National Park both morning and evening. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 10 Visit a palm plantation
Birdwatching at Kakum in the morning, visit an interesting palm plantation in the evening. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 11 Antwikwaa & Brenu
Birdwatching at Antwikwaa in the morning and Brenu Beach Road in the evening. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 12 Elmina Castle
Short birding trip to Brensu Water Works. You come back early enough for breakfast after which you will leave the hotel for a short excursion to Elmina Castle. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 13 Return to Accra
After breakfast, you shall return to Accra early enough to do some last-minute shopping before your transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
