Shai Hills & Aburi Gardens Trip from $ 75 p.p.

Shai Hills Resource Reserve is one of the most popular forest reserves in the neighbourhood of Accra and probably in the country, located right on the ouskirts of the city driving past the Port City of Tema.

You will arrive early in the morning on this day at the forest reserve to be able to see some of the impressive wildlife, that close to a big city as Accra. Some of the species to be seen include monkeys and antelopes. Here you will spend some quality time enjoying the company of these wildlife and the beautiful nature they call their home. You will hike through the beautiful greenery with some impressive well preserved nature.

You continue to Akosombo where you will eat lunch at the banks of the impressive man-made Lake Volta,  the biggest in the world enjoying the seemingly endless view of this lake that has meant so much to the people of Ghana. Later in the day we continue to the Aburi Botanical Gardens.These gardens cover about 65 hectares, spanning about 470m above sea level, and is planted with a mixture of indigenous and exotic trees, notably the kapok, on the main lawn. Most world leaders visiting Ghana would also visit this lushly scenic setting and most of them will plant a seed before leaving. Here we will be treated to an extensive tour of the Garden and have the opportunity to ask questions of the guide.

At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to relax over a drink. We drive back to Accra very early in the evening. Tours ends at our arrival in Accra, you wil be brought to your chosen destination in Accra.
