There are a number of minor reserves, there are some more historical sites of the Ashanti and, maybe the most attractive, there is a whole series of villages, each specializing in a particular handicraft or trade. In Bonwire you can see the Kente weavers at work, in Ntonso the Adinkra cloth is stamped etc. Don’t forget to take a peek at the volcanic Lake Bosumtwi. All in all the number of sites with a tourist interest is so extended that it is not possible to cover them all on this trip only. Make a choice selection of your own preference, let your guide assist you when needed. Overnight in Kumasi.

Day 18: Busua, a true seaside resort
Today a short transfer to Busua. This village, situated right on the coast, approaches the most of what we would call a bathing resort. You will find a tourist infrastructure of some sorts, consisting of a serious chain of hotels, bars and restaurants in all varieties between African and European, alongside a fine long stretch of beach. Overnight in Busua.

Day 20: The Canopy Walkway
This day is spent visiting two of the more special locations of your trip. You start the day with a visit to Kakum National Park, about an hour’s drive north of Cape Coast. This park, containing one of the last stretches of tropical rainforest in Ghana, is especially renowned for its Canopy Walkway. This walkway is really a number of hanging bridges between the treetops. High up in the wood you walk from tree to tree. The spectacular views make this a special experience. On your way back you stop for lunch at Hans’ Cottage Botel. The main feature of this spot is a restaurant, built upon a platform in a pond, inhabited by a thriving group of crocodiles, a most special place for your lunch break indeed. Spend the late afternoon relaxing on the beach. Overnight in Anomabu.
